He was captain of our group of about a dozen players. Bob served proudly on the Board of Trustees at Wolf Trap and at Burke & Herbert Bank, and led, in later years, philanthropic efforts for the Contemporary School of Education. He is supported by his parents, Rusty and Sherrie of Statesville, grandparents both of Statesville, brother Scott of Winston-Salem, and his wife Stephanie.

His true passion was raising money for St. James School in Hagerstown, MD, where his son attended. His work has been covered by MTV, the View, The New Yorker, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post, NPR, and countless others. Everyone would step back just to watch. The great-grandson of Confederate Gen. and Washington College President Robert E.
